1st Vol. Cavalry B Troop




All items listed below must be obtained by the new recruit before being allowed to fall in with the troop and receive his personal rank number. Until that time recruits will drill together under the supervision of a trooper.
Use of original items, where good reproductions are available, is officially discouraged by the troop.

Notes:
1. Civil War shoes may be used temporarily.
2. real nice dress civilian high top shoe.
3. some original canteens can be recovered and put to use, but please don't use a nice original.
4. Once Again, original haversacks can be rebuilt and used.
5. This poncho is also carried by many other venders that supply the Civil War hobby.
6. Any full U.S. military Krag carbine. ie: no cut down rifles (unless rebuilt to look like a carbine) No recoil pads, tang or receiver sights, sling swivels, civilian stocks or 1903 type front sights (must also have top wood in place).

That completes the mandatory list, of course there are many other items a trooper will need, but this is just so he can begin to function with the troop. An expanded list will follow with non-mandatory items.
